Trophy Truck Chassis Designed Around a 3D-Scanned Cab
An extra-cab pickup cab and front clip were 3D scanned, then a full tube chassis, cage and long-travel suspension were designed around the mesh in CAD.

We have scanned on-site in Southern California since 2023. Revv Engineering is based in Reno, Nevada: we drive or fly down with the scanners, a partner technician in the area scans to our process, or you ship parts to us. Either way, we handle the data, the CAD and your project.

Three ways to get it scanned
Southern California and the Central Coast are outside our fixed-fee region, so travel for on-site work is quoted at cost, up front, before you book. Scanning and CAD are billed at the same rates as in Reno.
We come to you
We drive or fly down with the scanners in hard cases and set up in your shop, hangar, plant or garage. If you have several parts or vehicles, we scan them all in one visit.
A partner technician scans
For some Southern California jobs, a trusted partner technician near you scans to our process and prep checklist, which saves the trip from Reno. We plan the job, process the data, do the CAD and deliver your files.
Ship it to us
Parts that fit in a box can ship to our Reno shop and back; you cover shipping both ways. Meshes, CAD and inspection reports come back digitally.

Off-road and desert race builds
Chassis, cabs and suspension for race trucks and prerunners. We have designed trophy-truck chassis and long-travel suspension, so the scan goes straight into chassis design.
Aftermarket parts
Scan the vehicle or the stock part, and we model brackets, bumpers and trim that fit it, delivered as STEP, Parasolid or IGES for your CAD.
Aerospace and aviation

Southern California scanning questions
How is travel to Southern California priced?
Scanning, processing and CAD are billed at the same rates as in Reno. Travel is added at cost and quoted up front, before you book. In the instant estimate, choose “On-site, anywhere else” to get a range for the work itself.
Can you scan my truck at home?
Yes, if there is room to walk around it and an ordinary power outlet. The Ram 1500 above was scanned in a home garage. Shiny or dark paint is fine; we use a scanning spray that disappears on its own.
Who does the scanning if a partner takes the job?
A partner technician we trust, working to our process and prep checklist. Revv Engineering plans the job, checks and processes the data, does the CAD and delivers your files, and you deal with us throughout. We tell you before the job who will be on site.
Can I ship a part to Reno instead?
Yes. Smaller parts ship to us and back, and you cover shipping both ways. Pack it well and send photos first so we can confirm it will scan cleanly.
