Our standard
We design and test scan.revv-engineering.com to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard commonly used for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we have done
- Semantic page structure with landmarks, a logical heading order and a “skip to main content” link.
- Full keyboard access, with a clearly visible focus indicator on every link, button and form field.
- Text and controls that meet AA color-contrast ratios.
- Descriptive alternative text for informative images.
- Forms with visible labels, clear instructions, error messages tied to each field, and an error summary that receives focus.
- An interactive 3D viewer that works with the keyboard (arrow keys rotate it when focused) and has labeled buttons for rotating, zooming, resetting and pausing, plus a written description of each model.
- No video plays automatically. Animation is reduced or turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages that resize and reflow to 400% zoom and on small screens without loss of content.
- Automated accessibility testing (axe) on every page as part of our build checks, plus manual keyboard review.
Known limitations
- Many project videos are silent recordings of scanning sessions. Each has a written caption describing what it shows. Videos with spoken audio will get captions.
- 3D models are visual by nature. Each one has a text description, and we are happy to provide dimensions or drawings in another format on request.
- Some content links to our store at revv-engineering.com, which runs on a third-party platform with its own accessibility features.
