Before you book
Decide what the scan is for: reference geometry, reverse engineering, inspection against CAD, or a visual/web model.
Preparing a part
Clean it: no oil, grease, dirt, loose paint or debris.
Preparing a vehicle
Wash it, including the underside if we are scanning the undercarriage or suspension.
On-site scanning at your facility
About 3 ft (1 m) of clear space around the object, more for vehicles and aircraft.
Shipping a part to us
Use a sturdy box with at least 2 in (5 cm) of padding on every side.
After the scan
Check that your CAD or print software opens the delivered formats (STL, STEP, X_T or IGES).
